Challenges
A high school in Ajax needed to replace the old, crumbling concrete slab in the exterior courtyard behind the school building. Safety was of the utmost importance on this project, and it required carefully closing off a section of the exterior area of the school grounds and completing the work within the tight time frames so students could continue to use this outdoor space.
Solution
Our team excavated the old, damaged concrete before compacting the area with stone. We then laid new concrete down, ensuring the shape of the new slab matched the designs. The project ran incredibly smoothly thanks in large part to our team, staying in constant communication with the General Contractor on the project.
Results
We completed the work on budget and on time. The General Contractor was thrilled with the work, which gave these high school students a new, safe courtyard to congregate in.
